Lincoln County Fair Fundraising Opportunity

The Lincoln County Fair Board has approached St. Stephens to see if we are interested in helping at the fair to earn funds for the church.

We would help set up the booths in the exhibit halls and the orange fencing around the grounds on Saturday before the fair (6-8 able-bodied youth and adults, some heavy lifting and assembly required). During the fair, we would have people on hand to assist with adjustments of partitions, moving items around the fairgrounds, etc. We will also have 2 person teams to clean and re-stock the restrooms 4 times each day, Monday - Sunday. Buckets, cleaning supplies, and PPE will be provided, In return for this work, the Fair Board will donate $3,000 to Saint Stephens.

We will be able to wear St. Stephens UCC t-shirts so the community knows we are providing this community service. The Fair Board is an all-volunteer organization that pays for many costs associated with the fair from their own pockets. The fair would not be possible without community groups working together to make it possible. Our daily presence is a witness to the need for the community leaders to come together so that we can gather together as a community for some fun, education, and celebration of the gifts that Lincoln County adds to our lives and the talents we see and celebrate in our neighbors.

Please see the schedule below for volunteer shifts! We need to be certain we can do this and fill the schedule by June 15th to be able to tell the Fair Board we will do it or we must decline the offer. The Council realizes this is a major commitment and we are hopeful we can make this contribution to our community and benefit somewhat financially from our efforts.
