To apply for an Edward H. Staats and Mary Staats Memorial Scholarship, students must be a member of Saint Stephens United Church of Christ who has been active and faithful in its ministry. They must also be a student in good standing at their school who has demonstrated good scholastic standards. Additional requirements are noted on the Instructions and Application for the Edward H. Staats and Mary Staats Memorial Scholarship, available here for download. Please note: Graduating high school seniors will be given first preference regarding scholarships and amounts; however, university or technical undergraduate students in good standing are also welcome to apply.
September 2018 marks the beginning of a vibrant new youth ministry here at Saint Stephens! If your teen or tween is in Grades 6-8, they can join our Middle School Youth Group (friends are welcome and need not belong to Saint Stephens, but a completed Registration Form is required to ensure parental consent). Teens in high school can join our High School Youth Group (ditto on the friends thing!).
Here are the forms you'll need to get registered so you can come to meetings, activities, lock-ins, retreats, and all the fun!

All children ages 0-19 who will participate in any of our youth Christian Education programs ... whether Sunday School, Faith Formation classes, Confirmation, or Youth Group ... should have a completed Registration form on file for the current program year. Download here.
As we begin the second year of our two-year confirmation program, we ask that all students 9th grade and older who have not been confirmed complete a Confirmation Registration Form and join our class. This year, Confirmation will be held on December 2, 2018.

Women of all ages are invited to join us for the Third Annual Women's Retreat at Moon Beach in St. Germain, Wisconsin, from Friday evening, November 9, through Sunday, November 5. Walk in the woods, yoga, self-care, vespers, creative projects, and relax in the company of other women ...
Invite a friend, sister, daughter, mother ... hosted by Saint Stephens United Church of Christ (Merrill) and First Congregational United Church of Christ (Wisconsin Rapids). Cost is $165 and includes all but two activities (Yoga and Chair Massage are an additional fee) plus breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday and brunch on Sunday. Cabins are heated and include modern bathroom facilities. (Joint occupancy) Just bring your own sheets (or sleeping bag), pillow, and towels. (Each bed is fitted with a handmade quilt.) Map/directions, schedule, and reminders will be sent after registration.

Would you like to hold a meeting, class, or other function in our building complex? First, check with the office for availability and preliminary approval of your event at the desired date and time. Then, complete the Building Use Form and submit it to the office with your $25 deposit for final approval. Download here.
Please register early for this year's Vacation Bible School so we can order a workbook for your child. All are welcome.
This year's Vacation Bible School, Camp Moose On The Loose, will be held on July 9-13, 2018, here at Saint Stephens.
